Rigorous and precise data is critical to make informed program and policy decisions. TKG works to ensure data generated through monitoring and evaluation systems is collected through systematic protocols and recorded, transcribed, and reported accurately. TKG’s focus in this area has included data quality audits (DQAs), Routine Data Quality Assessments (RDQA), and the provision of technical assistance around data quality.

In Nigeria, The Khana Group is currently working as the external evaluator on the UK Department for International Development’s Girl’s Education Challenge (DFID- GEC) funded project, ENGINE – Educating Nigerian Girls in New Enterprises. TKG is conducting a impact evaluation and has designed a randomized controlled trial (RCT) for the program which aims to improve learning outcomes and the economic status of 18,000 individual marginalized girls in Lagos and the Northern States of Kano, Kaduna and the FCT by improving the quality and reach of education and ensuring new educational opportunities translate into real economic and social choices for girls.
