TKG conducts evaluation for Pact in Nigeria

After 42 months of project implementation of The Community Based Prevention of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV (PROMOT) project in Bayelsa State, Nigeria, Pact Nigeria retained The Khana Group in February 2016 to conduct an end-line assessment to serve as learning for the second phase of the project.

The study focused on measuring the change in the uptake of Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) services, awareness of the effectiveness of PMTCT in preventing new infections in children, and knowledge and attitudes of target beneficiaries around PMTCT, in the intervention Local Government Areas (LGAs). It also estimated the use of PMTCT services, awareness of the effectiveness of PMTCT in preventing new infections in children, and knowledge and attitudes of target beneficiaries around PMTCT, in all eight LGAs in Bayelsa state.
