RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Marvin Samuel holds a Master of Development Practice (MDP) degree from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration with a strong focus on NGOs. He is a Research Coordinator with The Khana Group. He has over 7 years of program management, strategic planning, and program monitoring and evaluation. At TheKhana Group, he is responsible for planning and coordinating the initiation of research study protocols, establishing operational policies, procedures, and promoting research capacity building. He also collaborates with TKG Project Lead and client teams on field monitoring to provide relevant information for evaluation of project activities, effects, and impacts.
Prior to joining The Khana Group, Marvin Samuel worked as Field Project Supervisor for Walmart Store Planning Division in Bentonville, Arkansas. He was responsible to develop and manage project scope of work, coordinated report writing activities, and coordinated all communications with cross-functional teams. He also worked as Program Manager and Web Administrator for both Resilient Woman of Africa and Hope for Transformation in Kenya and Liberia. The Kenyan project focused on issues consistent with rehabilitating and re-integrating previously incarcerated women back to the societies from which they came upon release from a correctional facility. The latter aims to reduce homelessness in the streets of Monrovia – Liberia’s largest city.
